The next day your journey begins with a visit to one of the most beautiful places in Uganda, Lake Bunyonyi.
Did you know that the translation of Bunyonyi means "a place with many small birds." On the way, you can enjoy spectacular views of the terraces of the Ugandan mountains. This area is also called the Switzerland of Uganda.
The next morning you will get up early and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for the gorilla trek.
I know, you are on holiday... so why would you want to get up early? Trust me; it will be worth it! You will experience something you will never forget!
Mountain Gorilla Trekking is one of the most exciting experiences in the world. It takes between 2 and 6 hours, but it is worth the effort. You will be guided by an experienced ranger who will tell you interesting facts about flora and fauna, and the gorilla lifestyle.
However, if you wanted to try a different type of trek, there are several hikes available to do.
The Mubwindi Swamp Trail takes about 3 hours and leads through parts of the park where you can see elephants. Another 6-hour hike leads to the summit of Rwamunyoni at 2,607m.
But whichever one you decide on, you won't regret it!
And for the last day, you will indulge in a delicious breakfast, and begin your journey to Kampala. We will cross the equator, and there will be opportunities to take pictures, buy some souvenirs and enjoy a picnic.
Afterwards, you will start the return journey and of course, leave with many beautiful memories in your mind.
