6 Day South Bohemia bike tour
DAY 1
Day one of your cycling tour, a bus will take you to the unspoilt nature of the Šumava.
From Nová Pec you will go to a unique technical monument, the Schwarzenberg Alluvial Canal. After a long descent, you will arrive in Stozec. You will then follow a new cycle path along the lake to Horni Plana, where the famous writer Adalbert Stifter was born, and later on to Cerna.
DAY 2
You will discover the beauties of the Vltava valley.
Then return to Cerna by bus and continue to Dolni Vltavice, where you will cross the reservoir for the first time by ferry and get from the former village of Kyselov to Frýdava.
This is one of the most beautiful and most popular cycle paths in the Šumava!
You will continue along the Vltava River to Vyssi Brod with its famous Cistercian monastery from the 13th century.
DAY 3
Now to say goodbye to Cesky Krumlov and take the bus to Jílovice, where today's stage begins. You will cycle through the romantic fairytale landscape of South Bohemia to Trebon.
On the way, you will see picturesque little villages, green forests, tiny but also extensive old fish ponds and you will undoubtedly be fascinated by the alee of the ancient oaks.
DAY 4
Finally, you will take a ride through the beautiful city of Trebon, and you will reach the unique building - the Schwarzenberg Crypt in the park on the bank of the Svet pond.
DAY 5
On the last day, you will start again at the Vltava River but will stick mainly to the South Bohemian Marshes. The haughty farmers inhabited this area with many wet meadows and fish ponds.
From Bavorovice you will drive off the river, through the former Schwarzenberg game park. Then a romantic round through the South Bohemian marshland, and then your bike tour comes to an end.
DAY 6
After all of the amazing memories and continuous travel exercise, you will make your way home but of course leaving in utter breathlessness!
