Reykjavik City Tour
Welcome to your city tour to Reykjavik!
Day 1
Your journey begins with a flight from Germany to Iceland. You land in Keflavik, the airport of Reykjavik. Afterwards, you will be driven to your hotel by a modern coach.
Day 2
In the morning you will go on a city tour of Reykjavík, where you will get the first impression of Iceland's capital. During this tour, you will see the Pearl, Hallgrímsskirkja and the Harpa, among others.
The afternoon is free for your exploration of Reykjavík.
Day 3
The next day your journey takes you to Hveragerði. Hveragerði is often called "the Greenhouse City" because exotic flowers and fruits grow there in many greenhouses heated with geothermal energy.
In the immediate vicinity is the well-known geyser area in the Haukadalur valley, where the "Old Geyser", the namesake of all the world's springs, is usually at rest. Still, the smaller spring Strokkur regularly shoots a boiling hot fountain into the sky at short intervals.
The route then leads to the Thingvellir National Park, which has a unique historical significance for the Icelanders.
Day 4
Today the journey takes you over the mountain pass southeast of Reykjavík to the south coast of Iceland. The south coast offers a variety of scenic highlights. You drive to the southern tip of the island to Vík.
On the way, you will visit the two waterfalls Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss so that you can get your impression of natural beauty.
The Snaefellsnes Peninsula in Western Iceland is often called "Island en miniature" because of its diverse natural phenomena.
During the tour of the peninsula, you will see black lava coasts and light sandy beaches, picturesque fishing villages, bizarre volcanic formations, fertile agricultural land, cliffs, mountains and fjord landscapes.
You will undertake hikes on the beach and the cliffs.
Afterwards, you can warm up in a pleasant atmosphere with coffee, tea or hot chocolate.
Day 5
Now it is time to say goodbye to Reykjavik. The coach will take you to Reykjavik airport, where you will begin your journey home to Germany.
